Al-Furqan Establishment for Media Production presents:

Issue 39 of the Lives of the Martyrs

Abu Saad al-Kabaisi, may Allah accept him

An Avenger of Honour

The Conqueror of Land

He devoted his self and his wealth to Jihad

He was born and raised in Baghdad and lived a happy and decent life. He was an ambitious man of high aspirations and an excellent athlete before his commitment (to his Religion). Indeed he was one of the body-building champions of Iraq. He was gifted with a sharp mind for business and Allah endowed him well and opened for him many doors in this world. He used to drive the most modern cars when modern cars in Iraq were few. He married three women and Allah blessed him with sons and daughters.

After the fall of Baghdad, he, may Allah have mercy on him, was among the first to embark on Jihad and seek martyrdom. He joined the ranks of the Mujahedeen, pledging his person, his wealth and his family to Exalted Allah. He sold all of his possessions to spend it Fi Sabeel Allah, aspiring to be among those who devote his self and his money to Jihad.

Abu Saad al-Kabaisi, may Allah have mercy on him, was a commander on one of the most critical fronts with the rafidites, at the forefront of whom were the Jaish al-Dajjal and the Ghadr Corps. He cleansed Western Baghdad from the filth of the rafidites and Allah by his hand conquered many districts. He cleared them of the rafidites and settled in their place the Ahl al-Sunna. His men were a protective shield for the Sunnis there and they lived a good life as security spread in those areas.

He was a thorn in the side of the crusaders, destroying their bases and torching their bases with mortar fire. Because he was so successful in that, he was pursued and they targeted him more than once, shelling his home and family. But Allah ordained for them deliverance.

He told me an amazing story that once happened to him. “One day we were sleeping in a room, and there was a sudden air assault upon it. The Americans had burst in from every direction and began questioning us, ‘Where is Abu Saad?’ I said, ‘We don’t know’. So they asked the first man, ‘What is your name?’ And he told them his real name. And they said, ‘Go outside’. And so on with the second and third man. Then they asked me, ‘What is your name?’ And I answered, ‘Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman.’ The American said, ‘Really?’, and I said ‘Yes.’ And he replied, ‘We are going to ask the children outside and if they say something else, we’re taking you with us.’ Now all of the children knew me by the name Abu Saad. So the dirty crusader goes outside and called the children. When they had gathered around and he was about to ask them my name, he received a call from his command base telling about some incident. So they took my companions who had given them their real names and they never asked the children anything, because they had been distracted by the call. They boarded their helicopters and left.”

He remained on his path as a Warrior Mujahid, until there came the day for which he had been waiting. On his last night, he said to me, “By Allah, I long for Paradise. I beseech Allah that I will be slain tomorrow.” When dawn broke, he sat with his family, playing and joking with them. He then asked them to forgive him and to pray for him. He told them that on this day he and his men would attack one of the apostate checkpoints on the international highway in response to a call issued by the Lion, the Minister of War Abi Hamza al-Muhajir, may Allah aid him. He had summoned the heroes to avenge the honor of our sister whom the al-Maliki dogs had defiled. No sooner had he heard the call then he said “I am at your service, my Sheikh” and set off with his knights like a shooting star. He laid waste to the apostates’ checkpoint, which was manned by more than twelve apostates including officers. He killed them all and cleansed the place of their presence.

As they gathered their booty, one of the apostate soldiers managed to hide in the trunk of his car with his PKC machine gun. Abu Saad, may Allah have mercy on him, advanced upon him. His weapon was out of ammunition so he stabbed the apostate with the barrel of his rifle. But the apostate squeezed his trigger and so killed one of the best men of Islam, Abu Saad al-Kubaisi.

As his pure blood flowed out, the weapon lying across his chest gave witness to what he had done. He had spared none of his wealth, but spent it all Fi Sabeel Allah. He had told his men not to remove him if he was killed, but he, may Allah have mercy on him, remained at the scene of battle, wearing his explosive belt. The apostates dared not to approach him. So they took him away and placed him on the open ground. No one dared to come near him and their tiger eyes watched him night and day. Thus he embodied what the poet once said:

Exalted in life and in death you follow one of the miracles

They made the air your grave and replaced your shroud with the robe of an angel

Your greatness of spirit will be guarded, protected like the trusted ploughman.

The fire will be ignited upon you nightly as it was in the days of your life

If I could undertake the duty you did in truth and obligation

The earth would be filled with the mater of poetry and a lament different from that of the mourners

Owner of earth, it will be watered because you are a column of pouring rain

The Merciful will preserve you in mercies as fragrant as the morning.

O Allah, who united Yusuf with Yaqub, unite me with Abu Saad al-Kubaisi in the High Heavens. Be pleased with him and bless his dwelling. Make wide his entrance and grant him a home and a people better than his. Spare him the torment of the grave, and reward him as You have rewarded other Martyrs in your Cause.

Let us weep for the likes of Abu Saad.
